Almost there

After an hour or so of walking, it’s starting to feel pretty hot. I consider turning back, but it looks like I’m most of the way there already and I’d really like to get in close enough for at least one good photograph. I pour some of my water on my head, which instantly makes me feel better.

By 4:30, when I finally reach the base of the dunes, I’m feeling a tiny bit dizzy. Interesting. I shoot a couple of pictures and wander around a little bit, but it really seems like it’d be a good idea to head back to the car now.
