Inside a Kiln
This is a fisheye view of the interior of one of the lime kilns; from the left side to the right side of this photo is a full 180 degrees around what I’d guess is about an eight-foot diameter chamber.
This one image took longer to shoot than any other in both visits to this factory; it’s eighteen separate long-exposure photos stitched together, all of which were taken by leaning in through a hole in the back of the kiln and propping up a portable tripod at various angles.
But it was worth it. Because it looks like a face. Which is de facto funny.
