I’m still kind of amazed that there are so many sites like this just sitting wide open and ready for visitors. Plenty of convenient parking, even.

We saw three other cars roaming the works while we were out there; for the first one we did that casual sort of step-behind-a-pillar-no-officer-we’re-not-in-need-of-any-assistance thing, but then it became clear that everyone there was doing the same thing we were.
