Lissa Looks (in progress)

Updated, not-yet-complete version of this one. Corrected a few obvious mistakes; there’s still something funky around the mouth — her lips look like she’s had collagen injections or something — but I haven’t quite figured out how to fix it. At least I got both her eyes pointing in the same direction.

It’s interesting that the color palette I’m using has changed completely in the switch from acrylics to oils: I was doing all these candy-bright comic book hues before, and now I’ve gravitated straight to the ochres and rusts. I’m not sure whether that’s because of the medium, the subject, or just the fact that those were the tubes of paint I happened to pick up first.
