This is just too obsessive and awesome not to share: CSS Homer Simpson.

In case it isn’t clear what’s going on: that’s not an image; it’s a bunch of colored overlapping letters in Verdana. If you strip out all the formatting, you’re left with this:

I don’t know if I’m more impressed that a) anyone would bother to do this in the first place, or b) that they’d bother to make it cross-browser compatible.
