OK, Cupid
It’s a liiiiiiiittle bit early for me to be signing up on dating websites — so imagine my surprise when I started getting emails from OK Cupid about all the matches and likes and conversational gambits I was apparently having with teenagers in North Carolina.
Am I a bad person for doing what I’ve done here? It’s been a few days since I edited his profile but he hasn’t caught on yet.
I’ve learned two things from this experience:
- OK Cupid’s security practices are appallingly lax — I didn’t even have to log in, the links from their notification emails just bring you straight into the account without any authentication at all.
- these kids need to up their game. Their conversations are soooo boooooring
