OK, Cupid

It’s a liiiiiiiittle bit early for me to be signing up on dating websites — so imagine my surprise when I started getting emails from OK Cupid about all the matches and likes and conversational gambits I was apparently having with teenagers in North Carolina.

Am I a bad person for doing what I’ve done here? It’s been a few days since I edited his profile but he hasn’t caught on yet.

I’ve learned two things from this experience:

1. OK Cupid’s security practices are appallingly lax — I didn’t even have to log in, the links from their notification emails just bring you straight into the account without any authentication at all.
2. these kids need to up their game. Their conversations are soooo boooooring
