On Park and 67th

One of the (many) strange things about Manhattan is how specific the neighborhoods are — walk a few blocks and you can be on a completely different planet, socially speaking. The streets mostly look identical, but the people on them are changed utterly.

For example, where most neighborhoods would have handscrawled “lost dog” or at most “lost frog” posters, the upper east side has lost diamond jewelry:

Lost on 9/[?]: Diamond tennis braclet left in taxi at 11:00amPickup at Park ave 67th St Dropoff at Park ave 78th st $1000 RewardCall cooper at 212-[redacted]

I think my favorite part of this is that they bothered to hail a taxi for an 11-block trip.
